Good morning to you God’s people. I greet you all in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. May we continue to grow more and more in Him. I believe your day is going to be a glorious one. Today we learn about how Satan attacks our bodies and the way through which we can resist these attacks.
Please let us read Luke 4:38-39 from the KJV Bible.
“And He arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon’s house. And Simon’s wife’s mother was taken with a great fever; and they besought Him for her.And He stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she arose and ministered unto them.”
Let us capture something in this verse. The Bible says the woman was taken with a great fever, and then the Lord rebuked the fever and it left her. We all know what a fever is, normally when we are attacked by a fever, we take drugs and then it leaves us. But in the case of this woman, the fever had to be rebuked before it would leave her.
Many sicknesses are indeed physical ailments, but many are the results of satanic attacks and as God’s people we need to learn how to resist or rebuke that of the evil one. Sometimes you cannot understand why you are sick, so far as you know there is no possible cause of such an ailment. You are suddenly incapacitated when you have something of God’s work or some spiritual thing to do.
This sickness will indeed disappear if you resist it before the Lord, saying, “Lord I do not accept this sickness, for it comes from the enemy!”
Most amazing, you will find that it goes away as suddenly as it came. It actually leaves under rebuke. We Christians must have a different view of sickness, and we must learn of the cause of any sickness which attacks us. The life of Job can be of great example to us in our lives.
May the Lord open our eyes the more to perceive which sickness is physical and which one is spiritual. God bless you. Amen.
